Updates! (HuskyCakes)

Last week was homecoming week which was very hectic.
On top of school work, float, powderpuff, and lipsync, we sold Husky Pawprint Cupcakes.
We made chocolate cupcakes with a chocolate buttercream frosting and vanilla cupcakes with a caramel buttercream frosting.  Both were topped off with a blue and white fondant disk with a black pawprint piped on top. 
We sold roughly about 85 cupcakes all together, and we got many compliments on them.
There were plenty of extra for us to eat, which is always the best part, [:

This week we will be making husky pawprint cupcakes to show school spirit for homecoming this Friday.

Next week we will be doing an Indian style staff lunch.

Staff lunch - October 8, 2010

Last week staff lunches included vegetable cous cous, chicken or tofu skewers, and a walnut cupcake with a honey buttercream topped with a disk of baklava and a fondant honeybee.

Taylor and I made the cupcakes and they turned out wonderfully.
As I'm sure did the other dishes. Everyone seemed to love them!

I am McKenna and I am a student at Fortuna High.
I am currently in the HROP Culinary Arts III class.
